The J/42 AFFINITY is a modern comfortable cruiser that can easily be handled by two people. Her 44-inch wheel, carbon fiber mast, and year 2000 sails work together to give her a very responsive feel. The J/42 is fast and responsive while her common sense sailplan and controls make her a joy to sail, even under mainsail alone. The J/42 is designed to fulfill two goals: privacy for each of two couples when cruising or ample space and convenience for one couple for an extended period of time. The popular J/42 is a refined nimble modern cruiser with classic good looks.

The cockpit is large. AFFINITY has full cockpit cushions and a large dodger, which make cruising comfortable and enjoyable.

On the inside the Herreshoff like clean white interior, highlighted with varnished cherry trim, surround comfortable modern accommodations. The forward head / shower is private to the forward stateroom. The aft head is ideally located for use at sea, or as a private facility for guests. It contains a second shower and hanging locker for wet clothing.

The navigation station has an oversized table with chart storage and is equipped with GPS, VHS, RADAR, SSB AM/FM cassette w. 6-disc changer and 4 speakers.

The galley is well ventilated and features a recessed, deep double sink, oven, three-burner propane stove with oven, refrigeration, icebox and microfiltration water purifier.

Exceptional ventilation throughout is provided by 4 Dorade intakes, 11 opening ports and the dodger protected companionway and well placed electric fans.

The J/42 "AFFINITY" will provide a fun and exciting sailing vacation experience. She handles like 35 footer with the solid feel and motion of 50 footer.
